NAC flight resumes after 2.5 months in Suketar

TAPLEJUNG, Sept 4: After about 2.5 months, Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has resumed flights at the Suketar Airport in Taplejung.

TAPLEJUNG, Sept 4: After about 2.5 months, Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has resumed flights at the Suketar Airport in Taplejung.


Sachindra Tiwari, station in-charge of NAC Taplejung, said that the flight from Kathmandu arrived today with six passengers but returned with just one. According to him, there will now be a regular flight schedule operating three days a week between Suketar (Taplejung) and Kathmandu.

Tiwari informed Republica that starting from today, flights from Suketar (Taplejung) to Kathmandu will be available every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. The NAC had suspended flights at Suketar Airport since June 7 of the previous year due to adverse weather conditions, and the flights were unable to take off afterwards.


According to Tiwari, the fare rate from Kathmandu to Taplejung is Rs 8,600 and the fare rate from Taplejung to Kathmandu is Rs 8,400.
