TAPLEJUNG, August 19: Nepal Airlines on Friday conducted a flight at Suketar Airport in Taplejung, which had not been in operation since May 29.
Nepal Airlines, Taplejung Station Manager Lokendra Hanggam Limbu informed Republica that seven passengers were brought from Kathmandu and five were sent from Taplejung.

According to him, the flight schedule in the airport has now been made three times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. He said that preparations are being made to increase the number of flights on Saturdays after some time considering the pressure of passengers. He said that the fare from Taplejung to Kathmandu has been fixed at Rs 9,200.
There was no flight at Suketar Airport after May 29. Passengers booked tickets for flights, but the airlines did not operate flights at the airport citing bad weather conditions.
Shree Prasad Khadka, Sita Air's contact person in Taplejung, said that since Sita Air had been flying every Monday and Friday each week. He said that it can’t be said with certainty when flights will resume.
