BHAKTAPUR, Nov 23: Nepali Congress (NC) has opened a winning account from Bhaktapur's Constituency No. 1 Changu Narayan. NC's Suresh Shrestha has won as a member of the provincial assembly. Shrestha won with 9,421 votes.
UML’s Bhandari secures victory in Bajhang-1 by-election
His closest rival CPN-UML's Mohanveer Shrestha got 8,212 votes. The third place has been secured by the Nepal Workers' and Peasants' Party's Min Bahadur Bata, who got 8,010 votes.
In fourth place, Rastriya Prajatantra Party got 5,930 votes. An independent candidate, has received 1,128 votes in this area. Krishan Lal Bhadel of Nepali Congress was elected in this province before. Besides, Jeevan Khatri of NC was also elected as the mayor of Changunarayan Municipality.
