NC General Secretary Gagan Thapa commences 'Sambhad Yatra' from Jhapa

KATHMANDU, Jan 27: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Gagan Thapa has started 'Sambhad Yatra' from Jhapa today. General Secretary Thapa started his journey from Mechi Customs in Jhapa at 8 AM today.

KATHMANDU, Jan 27: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Gagan Thapa has started 'Sambhad Yatra' from Jhapa today. General Secretary Thapa started his journey from Mechi Customs in Jhapa at 8 AM today.


According to NC Jhapa, another General Secretary of, Bishwa Prakash Sharma and former general Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula, central member Pradip Poudel participated in the launch of the journey under the NC campaign in the community.


General Secretary Thapa is going on a Sambhad Yatra to receive the complaints and suggestions of the party workers and the public. In Sambhad Yatra, there is a plan to listen to the people while not to give speech(not to hold a speech program).

The NC is conducting the 'Community Congress' campaign from January 26 to February 9 as decided by the Central Committee. Thapa is going to start Sambhad Yatra along with the party's program.


General Secretary Thapa will hold a tea ceremony at Jhapa Chowk on Saturday from 9:30 AM to 10 AM. According to Thapa's secretariat, Thapa's Samvad Yatra is a program where he will not only meet the party leaders and workers but also interact with the common people.


Thapa is scheduled to visit the elephant-affected area in Kanchanashree at 10 AM on Wednesday, interact with farmers' groups from 11 AM to 12 PM, and hold an open dialogue at Jhapa market from 12:30 PM to 2 PM.


Similarly, there is a program to cross the Kankai River while walking in Kanjibari, hold an open dialogue at Khajuragachi at 3 PM and leave for Morang from Chowkighat in Jhapa at 4 PM.


General Secretary Thapa is scheduled to visit Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Saptari, Siraha, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Rautahat, Bara, Parsa, Chitwan, Nawalpur, Nawalparasi, Rupandehi, Kapilvastu, Dang, Banke, Bardiya, Kailali and Kanchanpur.
