ARGHAKHANCHI, Jan 4: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has instructed the party cadres to start preparations for the upcoming local level elections.
Stating that the local level election will be held in April and the provincial and federal elections will be held in November, General Secretary Thapa instructed the party cadres to prepare for it by uniting the party.

Addressing a public meeting program organized by Panini Rural Municipality chapter of Nepali Congress in Arghakhanchi on Monday, Thapa said that factions and divisions within the party would be brought to an end. He said that he would run the party in a legislative manner.
Addressing the first general assembly outside Kathmandu valley after being elected as general secretary, Thapa said the party would now work with new energy. "I will work hard to move the party forward with new energy by ending factions and groups within the party," he said.
