For the election scheduled for 2025, the law related to the inclusive election system is currently being drafted. Dr Rijal is among the international consultants hired for drafting the law.
The consultant group is conducting necessary discussions and consultations with local residents, representatives of various clusters, political leadership, chief minister, speaker, etc. The task of getting all parties to participate in the elections to be held in 2025 is challenging, said Dr Rijal.
Constituent Assembly member and former MP Rijal said that Nepal could also learn from the Philippines as it is also a country that has come from a conflict to the peace process.
