NC Mahasamiti meeting: Group discussion commences today

KATHMANDU, Feb 21: The group discussions have begun today as a part of Mahasamti meeting of the Nepali Congress (NC) in Godawari.

KATHMANDU, Feb 21: The group discussions have begun today as a part of Mahasamti meeting of the Nepali Congress (NC) in Godawari.


To discuss the report submitted on Tuesday, representatives of the Mahasamiti Committee have been divided into provincial groups. The discussions kicked off at 9AM today.

Separate discussion venues have been designated for four groups at the Sunrise Conference Centre. Meanwhile, members of the Mahasamiti from the Koshi and Sudurpaschim Provinces are conducting discussions in the Godawari Hall. Representatives from Madhesh and Karnali provinces are deliberating in the Bishankhu Narayan Hall, and those from Bagmati and Gandaki provinces are in the Phulchoki Hall.


Furthermore, the Kenjyosom Hall has been allocated for the Lumbini Province, as well as for well-wishers and public relations committees. Central officials, ex-officers, and central members are also participating in discussions specific to their respective provinces.


During the Mahasamiti meeting that commenced on Monday, Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka addressed policy matters, while General Secretary Gagan Thapa focused on organizational issues. Another General Secretary, Bishwaprakash Sharma, discussed political matters, and the party’s spokesperson, Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, submitted a report on the country's economic condition.
