NC preparing to renew party’s registration at EC for National Assembly poll

KATHMANDU, Dec 25: The Nepali Congress (NC) is renewing the registration of its name at the Election Commission in view of the National Assembly election.

KATHMANDU, Dec 25: The Nepali Congress (NC) is renewing the registration of its name at the Election Commission in view of the National Assembly election. 


The decision to renew its registration was made at the party’s first meeting of the newly-elected Central Working Committee (CWC) on Saturday. The CWC meeting also decided to update the registration at the EC as per the Constitution and Political Party-related Act.

The EC had earlier issued a notice for the party registration within the deadline of December 25. 


Party General-Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma said that the party decided to move ahead with unity by embracing enthusiasm and transformation. The meeting also took the decision to extend gratitude to all the actors who played a substantial role in conducting the general convention.
