KATHMANDU, Oct 4: Nepali Congress president and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed sorrow over the incidences of a death of a person, some persons missing and scores of others being injured due to the earthquake occurred in Bajhang on Tuesday.
Expressing sadness over the incident, the NC president, through a press note, extended sympathies on behalf the party and his own to the sensibilities of all the affected people.

President Deuba urged the government to carry out rescue works at a war footing, promptly search for the missing people, relocating the earthquake-affected people to the safe areas and to actively involve in providing medical treatment to the injured and relief to the affected people.
He also urged the party rank and file to actively get down to rescue and relief works, and appealed to all local sisters and brothers to face this disaster with fortitude and unity.
