“The meeting has been postponed untill August 13, 2019 to discuss various issues pertaining to national council and power-sharing in various departments, among others,” informed the NCP spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha.

“The secretariat meeting has yet to make a decision about the leadership of the party's various departments”, said Shrestha adding that the party will make further effort to bridge the differences among leaders who have staked their claim  to certain important posts.

When asked about the most contentious issue of the leadership of the school department, Shrestha replied that it was not the only bone of contention within the NCP. He clarified that the party has yet to settle issues related to all the constituent departments of the party.
