KATHMANDU, April 4: Nepal recorded 33 new cases of COVID-19 along with 89 recoveries and zero death from the virus on Monday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 5,059 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 32 PCR tests and one antigen test turned out to be positive for the virus.

There are currently 859 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 806 are in self-isolation, 36 in institutional isolation, 15 in ICU’s and two on ventilators. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,951 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded seven cases of COVID-19 on the day - five in Kathmandu and two in Bhaktapur districts.
