KATHMANDU, August 16: Nepal recorded 3,451 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday along with 2,458 recoveries and 35 deaths, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 15,611 COVID-19 tests were conducted on Monday. Of them 2,566 PCR tests and 885 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.
Nepal record 390 new cases, 425 recoveries and five deaths
There are currently 40,249 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 35,018 are in home isolation, 4,280 in institutional isolation, 758 in ICUs and 193 on ventilators as of Monday afternoon.
Likewise, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 739 new cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 522 cases were detected in Kathmandu, 63 in Bhaktapur and 154 in Lalitpur districts.
