Nepal records 2,525 new cases, 2,086 recoveries and 35 deaths linked to COVID-19 on Tuesday

KATHMANDU, August 24: A total of 2,525 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in the country in the past 24 hours.

KATHMANDU, August 24: A total of 2,525 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in the country in the past 24 hours. 


According to the Ministry of Health and Population, these cases were identified while conducting swab tests on 14,810 individuals across the country. A total of 2,086 infected persons have recovered from the COVID-19 infection in the same period. The recovery rate is 93.5 per cent in Nepal.

Similarly, 35 infected patients have died of the virus on Tuesday. With this, total deaths have reached 10,568 in the country so far. 


According to the MoHP, there are 38,250 active cases of COVID-19 across the country.  Kathmandu valley recorded 689 new cases of virus infection on Tuesday.
