KATHMANDU, March 1: Nepal recorded 158 new cases of COVID-19 along with 354 recoveries and two deaths from the deadly virus on Tuesday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 6,504 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 92 PCR and 66 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.
There are currently 8,054 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 7,773 are in self-isolation, 198 in institutional isolation, 75 in ICU’s and eight on ventilators. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,938 people have died from the virus across the country.

Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 32 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 27 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, and five in Lalitpur districts.
