KATHMANDU, Sept 20: Nepal registered 47 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday along with 160 recoveries and zero death from the virus, according to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 3,512 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Of them, 39 PCR and 35 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

Across the nation, there are now 1,638 active cases of COVID-19. Of them, 1,558 are isolated by themselves, 61 are in institutional isolation and 19 are in intensive care units. So far, 12,016 people have died of the viral disease nationwide.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 15 cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. Of them, 13 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, one in Bhaktapur, and one in Lalitpur districts.
