KATHMANDU, July 5: Nepal recorded 90 new cases of COVID-19 along with 20 recoveries and zero death from the virus on Tuesday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 3,112 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 73 PCR and 17 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

There are currently 249 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 399 are in self-isolation, two in institutional isolation, two in ICUs and one on a ventilator. So far, 11,952 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 52 cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. Of them, 43 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, two in Bhaktapur and seven in Lalitpur districts.
