Nepal's COVID-19 tally soars to 1212 with 170 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours

KATHMANDU, May 29: Nepal's COVID-19 tally has climbed to 1212 with 170 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, according to Ministry of Health and Population.

KATHMANDU, May 29: Nepal's COVID-19 tally has climbed to 1212 with 170 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, according to Ministry of Health and Population.


Bikash Devkota, the spokesperson for the ministry, told a daily media briefing on Friday afternoon that 84 cases of coronavirus were recorded by the Teku-based National Public Health Laboratory in the past 24 hours.


During the tests carried out in Rautahat district, 56 cases of COVID-19 were detected.

Koshi Hospital, Biratnagar, witnessed 27 cases of coronavirus on Friday.


BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences reported five new cases of COVID-19 while Lalitpur-based Patan Hospital recorded one new case of coronavirus.


Narayani Hospital in Birgunj witnessed 9 new cases while Gandaki Hospital Lab recorded one new COVID-19 case.


Sarlahi district reported four new COVID-19 cases while a lab in Rupandehi recorded 16 coronavirus cases. Similarly, a lab in Rapti witnessed 11 new cases of coronavirus today.
