Nepal to face India in opening match of 2019 SAFF U-15 Championship

KATHMANDU, August 8: Nepal will take on India in the opening match of the upcoming 2019 SAFF U-15 Championship to be held in India from August 21 to 31.

KATHMANDU, August 8: Nepal will take on India in the opening match of the upcoming 2019 SAFF U-15 Championship to be held in India from August 21 to 31.


Five countries including Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Bhutan will participate in the championship.

Likewise, Nepal will play against Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Bhutan respectively on August 23, 27 and 29. A 23-member Nepali team has been announced for the competition. Sunil Shrestha is head coach for the Nepali team, while Raj Kumar KC assistant coach.


Likewise, Binod Maharjan is goalkeeper coach. The selected players for the championship are Ishwor Gurung, Manoj Dahal, Genius KC, Prajgyan Maharjan, Abishek Waiba, Pramish Gurung, Ajaya Chaudhary, Jan Limbu, Roshan Thapa, Janme Jaya Dhami, Nirajan Malla, Pradip Lamsal, Nitesh Shrestha, Ashim Rai, Bipin Tumsing Magar, Amir Hamid, Mohit Gurung, Nirajan Khatri, Anil Chaugalain, Krishna Adhikari Yadav, Krish Sapkota, Sugan Gimi and Shashanka Bohara.
