KATHMANDU, Sept 26: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Tuesday added 18.45 points to close at 2,022.91 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,004.45 points and hit the day’s high at 2,030.52 points in the first 13 minutes of trading. The market went through a series of fluctuations in the remaining trading hours while the index lost around eight points from the intraday highest mark before closing for the day.

The sensitive index that measures the performance of blue chip companies also increased 2.56 points. The daily turnover increased to Rs 2.093 billion from Rs 1.565 billion on Monday.
While only hotels and tourism dipped 10.09 points, the remaining 12 trading groups succeeded in adding values to their market prices. Life insurance was the only gainer that added a three digit value of 134.78 points.
Among individual companies, the market values of 190 companies escalated, while 39 companies posted losses in their indices.
NIC Asia Bank had the largest transaction of its shares worth Rs 83.46 million. With an addition of 10 percent to its market value, Menchhiyam Hydropower Limited was the biggest gainer. Similarly, Himalayan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited shed the highest of 5.87 percent.
