KATHMANDU, June 7: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Wednesday increased marginally by 4.68 points to close at 1,932.33 points.
The secondary market opened at 1,927.65 points and went to the day’s high at 1,950.72 points. However, the market followed downhill in the successive trading hours.

In the intraday trading, 137 listed companies were successful in adding to their market values, while 74 companies registered as losers. The sensitive index that measures the performance of the blue chips companies gained 0.38 points.
Five out of the 13 trading groups including hotels and tourism, non-life insurance, life insurance, banking and mutual funds had their market prices declined. Among eight gainers, trading hit the highest of 109.91 points.
The daily turnover amount increased by a notable amount to Rs 2.368 billion from Rs 1.981 billion Tuesday.
Among individual companies, Soaltee Hotel Limited had the biggest transactions of its shares worth Rs 101.31 million. Likewise, Unique Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited was the biggest gainer, while Siddhartha Equity Fund lost the highest percent of its market price.
