KATHMANDU, Dec 21: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Wednesday declined slightly by 5.89 points to close at 1,867.22 points.
The secondary market opened at 1,873.11 points and climbed to the day’s high at 1,882.89 points before going into a straight fall for the remaining trading hours. Although the market increased by around 18 points in the past two days, it could not retain its upward graph during Wednesday’s trading.
NEPSE slides down 6.46 points; daily turnover further declines...
The daily turnover declined to Rs 863.81 million from Rs 930.83 million. In the intraday trading, a total of 140 companies lost in their market value while 63 were the gainers.
The sensitive index that measures the performance of blue chips companies fell 1.31 points. Among the 13 trading groups, only the banking sector added up with 3.38 points, while the remaining 12 sub-groups lost in their market values.
Among individual companies, NIC Asia Bank had the largest transaction of its shares worth Rs 118.24 million. Panchakanya Mai Hydropower Ltd was the top loser, while Adhikhola Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha gained the highest percent of its market price.
