KATHMANDU, May 13: Activist Dr Nicholas Bhusal was arrested for chanting slogans on Supreme Court (SC) premises in support of cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane, who has been convicted in a rape case.

Bhusal was taken into custody on Sunday evening, according to Superintendent of Police (SP) Nabaraj Adhikari, spokesperson for the District Police Range, Kathmandu. He was detained by the police for chanting slogans, calling for the immediate resolution of Sandeep Lamichhane's case.
SP Adhikari said that Bhusal is currently in police custody.
