KHOTANG, June 11: Ninety per cent works with the first phase of the construction of view tower at Rupakot of Khotang district have been completed. A 30-feet tall view tower is being constructed at Rupakot, which lies around 2,600 feet high from sea level.
Rupakot has been turning into one of the main tourism destinations for domestic and foreign tourists. Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi municipality has allocated Rs 2.7 million budget this year for the construction of the view tower.
Kathmandu view tower construction delayed
Vice-Chairperson of View Tower Construction Users Committee, Saptamani Rai, said that 90 per cent works of first-phase construction of view tower, began from April 29, have been completed.
The remaining works of the construction of the view tower will be completed within the last week of this month." Mayor Dip Narayan Rijal said that physical infrastructures like garden, picnic spot, and artificial pond along with view tower would be constructed at Rupakot.
One can see sunrise and sunset as well as world's highest peak, Mt Everest and other mountains from the view tower.
