NRA decides to provide Rs 200,000 to 1,500 households

KATHMANDU, March 11: An executive committee meeting of the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has decided to provide Rs 200,000 per family for relocating earthquake-hit settlements.

KATHMANDU, March 11: An executive committee meeting of the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has decided to provide Rs 200,000 per family for relocating earthquake-hit settlements.

“The committee meeting has decided to recommend to the cabinet to provide Rs 200,000 to 1,500 households who are still in the danger zones,” a statement issued by the NRA read. “The households will also get housing grant of Rs 30,000.”


As per the suggestions from the taskforce formed to identify risky settlements from earthquake affected districts, about 1,500 households have been listed in the danger areas.
