SUDURPASCHIM, June 18: Sudurpaschim provincial government has announced to provide interest-free loans to the farmers to promote commercial farming.
In the provincial government's budget for the upcoming fiscal year released on Friday, the provincial government has announced to provide interest-free loans by bringing about reforms in the agricultural grants and properly utilizing such grants.

The provincial government has allocated Rs 40 million to provide such a loan. The Province Agriculture Promotion Fund will extend such loans to farmers.
The province has also planned to become self-reliant on legumes, spices and fruits within five years. Likewise, agriculture ambulance service will be run in partnership with other stakeholders for the market promotion of agricultural goods.
