KATHMANDU, Jan 21: The Non-Resident Nepalese Association (NRNA) has provided one million rupees to the Nepali national cricket team participating in the T20 World Cup. The cash was handed over to Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) authorities at a program held on Saturday at the NRNA, headquarters in Baluwatar, Kathmandu.
The T20 World Cup 2024 is being held in the West Indies and the United State of America in June later this year.

NRNA president Badri KC said that the Association has provided financial assistance of Rs.800,000 to the Nepali volleyball national team, Rs.250,000 for the 6th NRNA Sudur Paschim Football Tournament, Rs.750,000 for the Pokhara Marathon and Rs.500,000 for the NRNA Ilam Gold Cup football tournament..
The NRNA has also helped set up oxygen plants worth Rs. 12.5 million in Seti provincial hospital in Dhangadi and Mahakali provincial hospital in Kanchanpur.
Likewise, the Association donated Rs. 2.66 million to the that the family of Suresh Silla, who died in course of foreign employment in the Congo.
