NWPP decides not to participate in presidential election

KATHMANDU, March 9: Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP) has decided not to participate in the presidential election. A meeting of the party's central secretariat took a decision to this effect.

KATHMANDU, March 9: Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP) has decided not to participate in the presidential election. A meeting of the party's central secretariat took a decision to this effect.

Secretary Prem Suwal informed Republica that there is no fundamental difference between the views of Nepali Congress and CPN-UML on national and international issues and decided not to participate in the presidential election. NWPP has one MP in the House of Representatives (HoR) and three MPs in Bagmati Province.


Earlier, RPP also decided not to participate in the presidential election. Rastriya Swatantra Party, on the other hand, has not yet decided whom to vote for as the country’s next president.
