NWPP not to vote in Vice Presidential election

KATHMANDU, March 17: Nepal Workers and Peasants' Party (NWPP) will not participate in the election of Vice President which started in Kathmandu this morning.

KATHMANDU, March 17: Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP) will not participate in the election of Vice President which started in Kathmandu this morning. 


It is said that the party's Central Secretariat meeting held on Friday morning decided to instruct the party's MPs not to participate in the election.

According to a press release issued by the party's Central Secretary and federal MP Prem Suwal, the party decided not to participate in the election as none of the candidates of any party has given any commitment on issues raised by the party including abolishing the MCC.


Voting started at 10 am and will continue till 3 pm today. Earlier, the party did not vote in the presidential election.
