Oli-Dahal meeting ends inconclusively

KATHMANDU, July 3: A meeting between co-chairpersons of the ruling Nepal Communist Party KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal failed to yield positive outcomes on a host of party's internal issues.

KATHMANDU, July 3: A meeting between co-chairpersons of the ruling Nepal Communist Party KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal failed to yield positive outcomes on a host of party's internal issues.


The meeting that took place at the Prime Minister's official residence, Baluwatar dwelt on the contentious issues such as finalization of the criterion for district in-charges and deputy district in-charges of the party, political document and naming party's standing committee members and heads of different organization committees, according to sources.

"The two leaders met briefly this morning and discussed a number of party's internal issues. However, the meeting did not make any concrete decision," Bishnu Sapkota, press advisor to chairperson Dahal told Republica Online.


The meeting happened amid a growing rift between the two chiefs of the party over various political and party's organizational issues.
