KATHMANDU, Dec 10: CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli responded to newly-elected RPP Chairperson Rajendra Lingden in a satirical way after the RPP Chairman made a statement regarding the monarchy.
At the 14th National General Convention of the Nepali Congress, Lingden said that the people had started name-tagging political leaders as thieves and that the monarchy should be restored as the head of state. Oli in a satirical way said ‘a newborn calf does not know how to walk and runs a lot’.

'No leader is born from a citizen. Should they say every leader is a thief? Should they carry around such things? The newly-elected fellow chairman may have hot blood. The newborn calf does not know how to walk, it runs more,” said Oli.
Lingden was recently elected as the chairman of RPP by defeating Kamal Thapa, who went on to allege that former King Gyanendra Shah had supported Lingden to defeat him. Lingden has been a strong advocate of restoring monarchy in the country.
