PALPA, June 17: A man has been arrested in Palpa along with stolen goods.


Police identified him as Arjun Koirala, 40, of Pokharathok, Baganaskali Rural Municipality-2.

He was arrested on Sunday from Pokharathok Baganaskali-2 along with a motorcycle (Ba Pra 02-043 Pa 2564).


DSP Sugandha Shrestha, information officer of the District Police Office, Palpa, said that four sets of jewelry, a motorcycle, three sets of mobile phones, and one set of silver rings were recovered from Koirala.


Additionally, police recovered 11 Ncell SIM cards and 9 NTC SIM cards along with Rs 18,600 in cash.


Police said that Koirala was absconding after stealing two tolas of gold from Nanda Kumari Khatri of Tansen-12 on the evening of May 18. He was arrested during a search operation and an investigation into the incident is underway.
