JHAPA, April 23: The police have arrested one individual in possession of 43.15 grams of brown sugar, a contraband drug.
The arrested individual is identified as 20-year-old Binod Tamang of Khanyabas Rural Municipality-5 of Dhading.
Two arrested with 147 grams of brown sugar
Krishna Kumar Chand, information officer of the District Police Office, Jhapa, said that he was arrested from Mechipul located in Mechinagar Municipality-6 during a routine check.
A total of 43.15 grams of brown sugar was recovered from the individual, confirmed the District Police Office, Jhapa.
The arrested individual is currently under further investigation at the Kankarbhitta Area Police Office.
In recent times, there have been several cases of youths being arrested with illegal drugs at various checkpoints in Jhapa.
