BAJURA, Oct 3: A five-year-old minor has died and two others have sustained injuries due to hornet sting in Bajura.
Deceased has been identified as Samir Thapa, son of Ram Bahadur Thapa of Badimalika municipality-9.
One dies of hornet bite in Parbat
The three children were stung by a hornet while they were going to a jungle near their house to fetch water. It is reported that hornets stung Samir on various parts of his body including the head. After a swarm of hornets attacked them, Sagar was bitten the most as he couldn’t run away on time.
After the incident, Samir was referred to Bayalpata hospital. However, he breathed his last while preparation for treatment was being made at the hospital.
Injured Binod Thapa and Kabita Thapa have returned home after minor treatment.
