UDAYAPUR, Nov 18: One person was killed in a tractor accident at Danuwar Basin of Udayapurgadhi Rural Municipality-7 on Thursday morning. The deceased has been identified as Baukai Sada, 40, from Gahirun, Triyuga Municipality-9.
According to the District Police Office, Udayapur, 19 persons were injured in the accident. Among the injured are Andaji Diwas Sarki, 35, of Triyuga Municipality-10 and a young woman. Sada succumbed to his injuries at 10:50 AM while undergoing treatment at the District Hospital, Gaighat.

“The injured are undergoing treatment at the District Hospital, Udayapur,” the hospital's medical superintendent Dr. Jivanarayan Mandal said. The critically injured have been identified as Diwas Sarki, 30, of Karamgachhi in Triyuga Municipality-10, Narayanwati Sada, 40, wife of the deceased in Triyuga 9 and Sukun Sada, 16, of the same place. The driver Sarki and Sada have sustained injuries in different parts of the body while the teenager Sukun has also sustained injuries in the legs and body.
A team of police personnel from a temporary police post at Nepaltar rescued the injured persons and sent them to the district headquarters for treatment. A team led by an Inspector from the District Police Office has reached the spot to investigate the incident. Police said that the tractor is still lying in the accident spot.
