Locals believe that the number of people missing in the landslide could be much higher. The rescue teams of Nepal Police, Nepal Army and Armed Police Force along with the Chief District Officer Suresh Neupane are on the way to the incident site.

Likewise, the flood and landslide debris have blocked the normal flow of Bhuji River. People living in the river bank downstream have been asked to stay alert as potential bursts of the dam caused due to the blockage could wash away the settlements downstream.
