Deputy Superintendent Rabindra Nath Paudal stated that the recovered amount includes Rs 5.16 million from Prabhu Bank and Rs 10.5 million from Nepal Investment Mega Bank. The excavation took place within the bank buildings that had sustained damage due to flooding.

DSP Paudel explained that the floodwaters washed away the structure of Prabhu Bank, while the building of Nepal Investment Mega Bank was filled with mud up to the second floor. "The money was found within the vault, ensuring its preservation, as villagers, security personnel, and bank employees participated in the excavation on Sunday. The distinct appearance of the bank buildings facilitated the identification of the money's origin," he mentioned.
