Stating that it was equal responsibility of all the SAARC member nations to making this regional forum more active, he viewed that mutual collaboration was essential for the regional cooperation.

Durable peace and progress is possible in the South Asia through economic development and progress, trade promotion, extension of relations at the people's level among the member states, the establishment of mutual relations and connectivity through the means of water, land and air routes.

Former Ambassador Bishnu Hari Nepal stressed that the bilateral or a specific issue between two countries would not be a hurdle in the SAARC affairs. Nepal, as the chair of SAARC, should make initiation to make the 19th summit scheduled to be held in Pakistan sure, he added.

Journalist Rajan Karki stressed that the SAARC activities should not be affected by the India-Pakistan tension.
