KATHMANDU, Aug 22: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Monday inquired of Minister for Supplies Deepak Bohara about the shortage of petroleum products in the Kathmandu Valley.
According to the press statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, PM telephoned Minister Bohara and asked him the reasons behind the fuel shortage.
“I have been informed that there is a shortage of petroleum products in the Valley. There are long queues at fuel stations. What are the reasons behind it? Solve it immediately,” PM Dahal told Minister Bohara.
The Prime Minister also asked the Minister to frequently carry out market monitoring and regular supply of essentials.
Minister Bohara said that there was a shortage of petroleum products as it was a public holiday on three consecutive days, adding that petrol supply will be normal soon.
