PM Oli admitted to TU Teaching Hospital for kidney transplant

KATHMANDU, March 2: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was admitted to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital today evening.

KATHMANDU, March 2: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was admitted to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital today evening.


Surya Thapa, the press advisor to PM Oli, said that the prime minister was admitted to the hospital.

Oli is scheduled to undergo kidney transplant coming Wednesday, he said.


Oli, 69, had undergone kidney transplant in India in 2007 after both his kidneys failed. He has been visiting hospitals abroad for health check-up ever since.


The prime minister underwent an appendicitis surgery in November last year.
