PM’s India visit called off

KATHMANDU, Jan 7: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s scheduled visit to India has been canceled. Deuba was invited to India by his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi to participate in the program ‘Vibrant Gujarat’ set to be held in the Indian State of Gujarat.

Earlier on Wednesday, a Cabinet meeting had approved the PM’s visit to India. However, the program in Gujarat has been postponed due to the rise of COVID-19 cases in the neighboring country.
