Police seize counterfeit notes worth Rs 24,000

KATHMANDU, Dec 29: Police have arrested one person from Gokarneshwor Municipality-4, Gokarna Hanuman Chowk with fake notes worth Rs 24,000.

KATHMANDU, Dec 29: Police have arrested one person from Gokarneshwor Municipality-4, Gokarna Hanuman Chowk with fake notes worth Rs 24,000.


A team of police personnel deployed from Kathmandu Police Range arrested 40-year-old Sarita Tamang, a resident of Kandaghari, with fake notes with denomination of Rs 1,000.

Police arrested Tamang acting on a special tip off received on counterfeit currency dealing. Further investigation is underway, according to police.
