MORANG, August 31: Police took control of a tractor carrying motor parts from Roadcess Chowk, Biratnagar-12, on Tuesday night.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Deepak Shrestha, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Morang, a tractor containing motor parts worth over Rs 3.3 million has been taken under control on suspicion of customs evasion.

According to the Morang police, the tractor with Indian number plate (BR 7 K 1724), which entered Nepal through the customs office after under-valuation of the goods it was carrying has been taken under control along with the driver Taluwa Murmi from Araria city in India.
The cost of the tractor and different types of motor parts which have been taken hold of is estimated to be Rs 0.4 million and Rs 3.3 million, respectively. Both the tractor and the goods have been taken to the Inland Revenue Office, Itahari, for further action, according to the police.
