KATHMANDU: ‘Prem Geet 2’ has been released in 80 different cinema halls across the country on Friday. According to the press statement released by the film production team, most of the cinema halls had 100 percent occupancy.

The QFX Cinemas of Kathmandu and other halls outside the valley were house-full. The film also managed to garner numerous audiences as it was a public holiday to celebrate Naagpanchami and Janai Purnima festivals. The press statement quoted the distributor of the film outside Kathmandu, Basanta Manandhar as saying, "This film is the second after 'Bahubali 2: The Beginning' that has attracted the mass in Nepal."
Ram Sharan Pathak has directed the movie, which is about the love between a girl from Burma and Nepali boy. The film was shot in Nepal, Myanmar and Thailand with Second World War as the plot setting.
