President remits remaining prison term of 233 inmates

KATHMANDU, May 28: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has today remitted the remaining prison terms of 233 prisoners at the recommendation of the Council of Ministers on the occasion of the Republic Day.

The Head of the State has pardoned the remaining prison term of prisoners including Ramesh Bishwokarma alias Ram Bahadur in accordance with Article 276 of the Constitution of Nepal, the Criminal Offence (Punishment Determination and Execution ) Act 2074 BS and the Criminal Offences (Prison Term Remit) Regulations 2076 BS, assistant spokesperson at the President Office, Keshab Prasad Gimire, said in a press note
