KATHMANDU, Feb 2: A meeting of the Nepali Congress (NC) Parliamentary Party has decided to hold discussions with other political parties for the election of the vice chairman of the National Assembly.
Speaking to the media after the meeting held at the residence of President Sher Bahadur Deuba, NC Chief Whip Ramesh Lekhak said that the NC Parliamentary Party meeting will be held at 1 PM on February 9 at the Lhotse Hall of the Parliament Building.

He said that the NC Central Working Committee meeting has been postponed for some time. He also said that NC is in discussion with other political parties about the election of the vice chairman of the National Assembly and the election of the president.
Lekhak also said since Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal sought national consensus on the candidates of President, Vice-President, Chairman/Vice Chairman NC is ready to negotiate with his party.
