Gold price rises by Rs 1700 to reach record-high of Rs 142,700 per tola

KATHMANDU, June 4: The price of gold has increased by Rs 1,700 per tola in the domestic market on Tuesday, setting the highest price ever.

KATHMANDU, June 4: The price of gold has increased by Rs 1,700 per tola in the domestic market on Tuesday, setting the highest price ever.


The price of fine gold has reached Rs 142,700 per tola today. On Monday, the price of the precious yellow metal was Rs 141,000 per tola. 


Last week, the price of gold reached a record-high of Rs 142,200 per tola.

Similarly, standard gold is being traded at Rs 142,000 per tola today.


The price of silver has also increased by Rs 25. The trading price of silver is Rs 1,860 per tola on Tuesday, rising from Rs 1,835 per tola yesterday.


In the international market, gold prices rose again on Tuesday, trading at $2,348.80 per ounce, up from $2,310.72 per ounce on Monday. The price of silver, too, increased, trading at $30.65 per ounce on Tuesday, compared to $29.93 per ounce the previous day.
