Prohibitory order implementation in Kathmandu Valley to be stricter from tomorrow

KATHMANDU, April 30: Local administrations in the Kathmandu Valley are preparing to impose stricter prohibitory orders from Saturday to control the movement of people in the streets.

KATHMANDU, April 30: Local administrations in the Kathmandu Valley are preparing to impose stricter prohibitory orders from Saturday to control the movement of people in the streets. 


According to a senior government official at the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, only a limited family members will be allowed to go to hospitals and attend funerals.

The three districts in the Valley --- Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur --- have imposed week-long prohibitory orders starting Thursday in an apparent bid to stem the transmission chain of the novel coronavirus disease. 


A Cabinet meeting held earlier this week authorised the local administrations to enforce prohibitory orders if the number of active cases cross 200 in hill districts and 500 in those districts located in the Valley and Tarai.
