Prohibitory orders in Kathmandu Valley extended by another 10 days

KATHMANDU, July 15: Local administrations in the Kathmandu Valley have decided to extend the ongoing prohibitory orders by another 10 days.

KATHMANDU, July 15: Local administrations in the Kathmandu Valley have decided to extend the ongoing prohibitory orders by another 10 days.


Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Kali Prasad Parajuli said they made the decision to extend the prohibitory orders till July 25 keeping in view the rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in recent days.

The decision was reached after a meeting of the CDOs of Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur on Thursday. CDO of Bhaktapur Prem Prasad Bhattarai said the meeting has decided to allow the operation of emergency public vehicles even as the local administrations decided to continue with the ongoing prohibitory orders.


According to CDO Bhattarai, public vehicles required to enter the Kathmandu Valley from other districts need to produce recommendations from the CDOs of the districts
