KATHMANDU, May 25: Rabindra Mishra, chairman of Bibeksheel Sajha Party, has resigned from the post. He announced his resignation from the post on Wednesday. He has mentioned that he resigned on the basis of morality as the local level election 2022 had a disappointing result for the party.
On social networking site, Facebook, Mishra wrote, "It is a well-known fact that in the local elections of 2022, Bibeksheel Sajha Party had a generally disappointing result. Despite my selfless and sincere efforts for the last five years as the party’s chairman, I would also like to inform you that I have resigned from the post of party chairman on the basis of morality, taking full responsibility for the results of the election.”

Mishra has, however, said that he will remain as a general member of the party.
In this election, Bibeksheel Sajha party won in Pheta Rural Municipality of Bara and two wards there. He also pledged his full support to the winning candidates.
“The major issues and campaigns raised by Bibeksheel Sajha Party are now being raised and spoken by many other parties and their leaders. This is all because of you guys. The transformation of this country will be impossible unless the key issues raised by the Bibeksheel Sajha Party are addressed,” he wrote.
He said that the then party coordinator Milan Pandey and others were punished for their activities against the party. Stating now that he has resigned, he requested the party to overturn the action against Pandey and others, requesting all those who left the party in recent times to rejoin.
