Renu Dahal leading by 17 votes in Bharatpur metropolis

KATHMANDU, May 16: The mayoral candidate Renu Dahal of the ruling alliance in Bharatpur Metropolitan City is ahead of her nearest rival by 17 votes as the counting of 16,033 votes has completed so far.

KATHMANDU, May 16: The mayoral candidate Renu Dahal of the ruling alliance in Bharatpur Metropolitan City is ahead of her nearest rival by 17 votes as the counting of 16,033 votes has completed so far. 


While Dahal has secured 5350 votes, her nearest rival Bijaya Subedi of CPN-UML has received 5,333. Similarly, independent candidate Jagannath Poudel has secured 5,350 votes.

In the post of Deputy Mayor, Chitra Sen Adhikari (Nepali Congress) has secured 2558 votes, while Himala Gurung of Rastriya Prajatantra Party has secured 4321 votes.
